Trybrid Corporation — Materials engineered for the hardest environments on and off this planet.
Trybrid Corporation formulates patent-pending turbostratic graphene composites — then builds the
satellites, submersibles and heavy-lift aircraft that depend on them. From minus-50 prairie winters to
Class V linerless cryogenic pressure, our chemistry is qualified where materials usually fail. We are
headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (Treaty 6 Territory) and serve defense, aerospace, nuclear,
marine and clean-energy customers across Canada, the United States and globally.
TURBOBASALT — Flagship composite material (patent pending)
TURBOBASALT is a revolutionary nanocomposite of basalt fiber, turbostratic graphene (TSG), and LMPAEK
thermoplastic. It is lighter than aluminum and tougher than carbon fiber, built for the Arctic and
space. The system replaces steel, aluminum and fiberglass outright, and selectively displaces carbon
fiber in up to ~60% of non-primary applications where toughness, fire safety, EMI shielding and
recyclability decide the design.
<1×10⁻¹³Gas permeability — Class V hydrogen / tritium barrier
−253 to +80 °CThermal shock range — cryogenic LH₂ to elevated service
Composition
Basalt fiber structural core — volcanic mineral reinforcement with 700–900 °C heat tolerance, chemical resistance and high specific strength at $2–5/kg feedstock cost.
Turbostratic graphene (TSG) — few-layer graphene network that arrests crack propagation, raises interlaminar shear, and creates EMI / EMP and 200 kA lightning pathways.
Space & cryogenics — solar array booms, Class V linerless LH₂ tanks, spacecraft bus structure, microcrack-resistant tank walls.
Defense & security — TEMPEST SCIF shielding, EMP-hardened Arctic mobile command, HPM-resistant data vaults, RF-isolated munition storage, armor liners.
Advantages include true circular recyclability, integrated lightning and EMI shielding, rapid stamp-form
manufacturing, and field-repairable hot-stamp welding. TURBOBASALT is positioned for NORAD
Modernization, RCAF platforms, Canadian Coast Guard hulls and domestic SMR deployments.
Autonomous systems
Because the formulation and the platform are developed under one roof, structure, thermal behaviour and
mission envelope are traded against each other from day one.
16U satellite structures — composite bus panels and internal structure with graphene-loaded thermal pathways, built for launch loads and orbital thermal cycling.
Unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV) — pressure-tolerant hulls and fairings from ultra-durable thermoplastics; corrosion-immune, low-signature, field-repairable.
Heavy-lift and swarm UAV — fire-retardant airframes for wildfire operations and coordinated swarm payload delivery over remote terrain.
Wildfire containment
A biodegradable liquid retardant formulated for aerial and ground application across boreal fuel types,
holding a containment line without the persistent salts and pigments that burden watersheds and soil
recovery. Halogen-free and fully biodegradable.
Engineering capabilities
Formulation development — dispersion chemistry, resin selection and additive trade studies.
Composite design — laminate architecture, layup definition and structural analysis.
Environmental qualification — sub-arctic, cryogenic, thermal-shock and flame-response testing.
Prototype manufacturing — tooling, layup and thermoplastic processing from first article through low-rate production.
Defense-sector readiness — documentation aligned with Canadian controlled-goods expectations.
Technology transfer — process packages and training so partners scale a qualified formulation.
TB-PU — bio-based polyurethane series (pilot production) for coatings, foams and elastomeric liners.
TB-FR — biodegradable liquid fire retardant (field trials) for aerial, ground and UAV delivery.
TB-TP — ultra-durable sub-arctic thermoplastic (qualification) with retained impact at −50 °C.
